Jenny Lehmann

Hey! I am Jenny Lehmann and I am a physiotherapist in Nelson B.C. I was born competitive and grew up figure skating and playing soccer, eventually playing at a varsity level, alongside training with the cross country running team throughout University.  Due to chronic running injuries, I got into road biking and found myself racing all over North America for the next 4 years. I have since completed my Masters in Physical Therapy, swapped my road bike for a mountain bike (or two) and found a happy balance between the two. I started racing mountain bike marathons in 2019. Shocked at the sparse number of female participants on the start lines of local races, I co-founded Ellevate XC to help create a platform for women entering the sport!

Achievements

• Won the Gran Fondo Whistler (Giro) in 2011

• Raced UCI races in Belgium and Holland- survived the wind and cobbles!

• Won my first mountain bike marathon in my category- NIMBY 50
